The WORLDS OF WELLNESS is a conference and trade show designed to serve the needs of medical and wellness professionals in the Mid-Atlantic Region. It will be held November 10-12, at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

May 31st - With its elegant atmosphere, wonderful entertainment, and delicious food, it was an event to be remembered on the Houston scene. Fashions by Vanessa Riley and her bevy of beautiful models such as Erica Rose and Brittany Reichek were gracing the scene. A variety of entertainment including Herb Hochman, astrologist, caricature artist, mime, and invaluable fitness knowledge by World Strongest Man and first class trainer Phil Makdisi was available. The walls were adorned by gorgeous artwork by the local artist Gilber Levy. The highlight of the evening was a silent auction to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. The Rendezvous co-chaired by Cindi Rose and Gina Hern, SpaGym President and CEO, raised several thousands of dollars for the charity. Among the many well known Houstonian's in attendance were Dr. Franklin A. Rose, Ned and Mehrnaz Gil, Kym and Willard Jackson, Jennifer Simmons, Todd Ramos, and Anjelica Ximenes. Opened in Beaufort, SC in May - The Gala Opening for the spa, owned by Dr. Irina Borissova, was an elegant affair which attracted people from all over the South Carolina Low Country - in spite of rain and thunder. Proceeds from a silent auction went to the Melanoma Research Foundation (an impressive $1400). This is the first spa in the country to raise money for Melanoma Research - one of IMSA's goals for this year!

Opening July 16th - "It is wonderful to have a vision come to fruition", says Judith Stanton, the creator and brain child behind this project. A beautiful medical spa located in a 300 year old farm house, on three glorious acres. In addition to the Spa at the Retreat Split Rock, is the Inn at the Retreat at Split Rock with two luxurious guest suites and a third suite scheduled to be completed in September. Adjacent to the Spa and Inn are the medical offices and surgery suites of Neil Gordon, MD, a nationally recognized facial plastic surgeon with offices in Greenwich and Wilton.
