Announcing The Medical Spa Association

As we move forward into 2003, the DSA is responding to the industry trend that has been accelerating over the past 3 years. More and more day spas are providing medical aesthetic services for their guests. There is also increasing interest from medical professionals to include spa services for the benefit of their patients.

Interestingly enough we are completing a full circle, arriving at the original concept, when the concept of "spa" stood for prevention and healing.

With the arrival of the "Medical Spa" we are once more at the crossroad. There is a clear need to set up definitions and guidelines for the protection of the consumer. There is a need to provide resources to day spas who are considering the medical arena, and assist healthcare professionals get the proper knowledge how to work with the spa industry.

As announced in our last newsletter, THE MEDICAL SPA ASSOCIATION is now established.
