(The York Street Project)

 

The York Street Project is an urban outreach program which helps shelter battered women and children, and helps them by means of providing a short-term residence, counseling and job training/placement for those who need to start a new life.  It also provides day care for the children while their mothers are looking for work. Any gifts or donations of either cash or items which women may use/enjoy are most appreciated. York Street Project is a non-profit agency sponsored by several different churches in Jersey City, exists entirely on contributions and grants, and is a highly respected outreach program in Jersey City.
